For beginners, I usually suggest a sand or metal footbag because these footbags are a bit easier to stall and do tricks with, and you can learn quickly with these bags. Our most popular footbag is the Midnight 32 metal which has two weight options. Many of our customers have started out with this bag and have loved it so give it a shot!

I've played "hacky sack" before, and I was never any good at it. But the whole stalling, and doing tricks thing is new to me. About a week ago I started trying to do some tricks, and so far I can do a 'chicken scratch' and a 'jester' (flying clipper). The only problem is; I've been using my friends' footbag. So I'd really appreciate it if someone could give me some advice about a good footbag for a beginner like me. Thanks.

Well I ordered my footbag on tuesday and it just got here yesterday (friday). I'm wasn't accustomed to playing with a bag this small, but after about an hour of breaking it in I don't even want to switch back to my old one. Great control, great pop, and stalls like a champ. Already has helped to bring my game up a level, only complaint is that I've noticed a "little" bit of sand leaking out every now and again.
Great!!!

I love the blue and black but I don't like the sand.. Sacks full of sand tend to go very fast with me :D
A nice footbag for beginners and intermediates alike.

I've been playing about 10 years on and off, moderatly seriously. I'm no expert but I consider myself better than the average. This just arrived in the mail for me a few hours ago. It broke in very nicely, of course not without a little help from playing with it non-stop. It is very nice, filled adequately, and from what I can tell it's durable, although it's too early to relaly tell that. The Design is very neat and it's hard to lose sight of from dawn all the way til sunset! I'd recommend it to anyone looking to step their game up from plastic filled bags.
Buy it!

    • Glad to hear that you are getting into footbags, and I would love to help you find one that is perfect for your style. First off, I just want to let you know that while the "chicken scratch" is a cool way to pick up your footbag, it will quickly ruin your bag, especially if you get a sand or a metal sac. It will wear on the seams and soon you will have filling coming out everywhere. So although it isn't as cool, I would suggest picking up your footbag, and you will be surprised at how much longer it lasts! Now to choose a footbag. It sounds like you enjoy doing the tricks so I would suggest going with a sand or plastic bag. These two fillings are the lightest that we offer so they give you more pop in your tricks. If you want a little more control, try the sand filling first. These footbags have a little more weight on them than the plastic so you will be able to stall easier. Some of our most popular sand footbags would be the Whirl 6 and the Clipper 24. Check these bags out, and let me know how they turn out for you!

    • would this be a good sac for a beginner
    • This would be a great beginner sack. Because of the sand filling, you will be able to learn how to stall quickly and be able to do tricks. Also this bag comes with a medium amount of filling which makes it easier to control. Good choice!

    • im a begginer and i was checking out some sand footbags and i really liked this one and the whirl 6 sand, so i was wondering if you could give me a little advise on which one i should order?
    • Both of these footbags are pretty similar but the Paradox is a little fuller than the Whirl so the Paradox will have a little more pop but will be a bit harder to stall.
